3100 Miles Website Design and Launch

A team of three men from 771 Search and Rescue squadron, based out of Culdrose, Cornwall, are setting out to ride 3100 miles across America from, San Diego to New York City’s, Times Square.
The team wanted a website design that would not only be informative but also encourage visitors to donate towards their charities. The website also needed to be interactive so that the team can update their progress on firstly raising funds and then give updates on their progress across America.
I built the website on the Joomla platform so that the team will have access to side wide content including blogs and images. I also installed a comments system so that website visitors can contact the team during their journey.
In terms of website design I tried to go for a fun and colourful layout with an interactive homepage including a scrolling twitter feed and website blog feed.
